Compliments

We like to celebrate staff achievements, particularly when they go 'the extra mile'.

If a staff member has particularly impressed you in any way, please feel free to let them know directly. If you would prefer, why not write to Mr Carthy to let him know.

At each governing body meeting, Mr Carthy recommends a member of staff for commendation recognition. We also celebrate staff successes in our weekly briefing and through personal thanks.

Below are a sample of the compliments we have received.

"Myself and Jake watched the RWI speed sound videos together and he was repeating them back to and writing the letter! He is super amazing and we can't believe how well he is doing already, we are very proud."

Dear Mr Carthy

"Thank you for your warm welcome to your school and for embracing our Future Visions project. We are very grateful to PFG for making this project possible.

We all felt totally inspired by your young people, your excellent staff and the wonderful atmosphere around your school. Many congratulations on all you are achieving at Byron Primary.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with the response and engagement of the children. Their Ocean Republic song was very powerful and moving, they performed it with terrific commitment for the audio recording.

Elise is now working on the film edit, it should be finalised over half term. We will of course share with you soonest, but do plan to showcase the film after half term.

We hope that we will have another opportunity to collaborate with you all again soon. "

With best wishes and many thanks again

"Dear Mr Carthy,

I wanted to make you aware of the recent dealings I have had with Mrs Vella over the last few months.

xxx has recently joined your school after suffering a very traumatic incident within their family.

I wanted to let you know how impressed I have been with the support Mrs Vella has offered despite them not being registered with the school at the time. Mrs Vella has gone above and beyond for this family and offered such significant support to ensure that they have been fully supported throughout our involvement. She has always kept me up to date with circumstances around xxx admission and has been no end of support especially with the difficulties of working outside of the LA boundary.

I feel her support to this family really has been incredible and she has helped to achieve a real positive outcome for this young person whose life had been completely turned upside down.

Thank you"

"Dear Mr Carthy,

I am the Musical Director for Chatham Witch at Fort Amherst. I wanted to email you personally to pass my profound thanks on to you and your exceptional music staff and young performers.

The Byron children were a joy to hear and utterly compelling to observe on stage.

I am not sure I can adequately express how professionally all the Byron children comported themselves. They are a credit to themselves and the school.

I very much hope that your music department continues to flourish and that I have the opportunity to work with Mr Locke and the Byron students again in the future.

Wishing you all a wonderful term ahead.

All best."

"Dear Head teacher, Staff and scholars, I would like to compliment the group who performed at the Chatham Witch. Not only were all the performances great and on cue, but the entire group certainly set a great example of good behaviour and followed instructions. They were great and definitely did the school proud."
